Cheap

Rincon Center Food Court (right across from Wharton West. Excellent lunch options.)

Pho Hoa - 3 Embarcadero Center (L, D)

Pho chain. Cheap, fast, not bad. 

Mijita - Ferry Terminal Building (B, L, D)

Yummy Mexican. Can be crowded at lunch.

Lots of food court vendors where Embarcadero Plaza spills out onto the Embarcadero across from the Ferry Terminal.

Sandwiches, bagels, sushi, etc. 

Moderate

The Open Door - Ferry Terminal Building (L, D)

The take-out operation of The Slanted Door. Excellent food. Can be long wait at lunchtime.

R&G Lounge - 631 Kearny Street (L, D)

Very good Chinese. Head downstairs at entry. Bustling, but fast. 

Expensive

The Slanted Door - Ferry Terminal building (L, D)

Excellent. Sometimes loud. You can get food at the bar area.

Ozumo - 161 Steuart St  (L,D)

Just two blocks from Wharton West. Good sushi. The beautiful people hang out here.

Mexico DF - 139 Steuart St. (L,D)

Nice place. You can eat Carnitas (or whatever) at the bar and it's not too expensive.
